Saint Peter Advantage

COMMUNITY

Saint Peter's assets provide a high quality of life.

RICH HISTORY A "riverboat town," Saint Peter was nearly designated the state capital in the 1850s. The City has in excess of 40 historical sites on the National Register of Historic Places.

RECOGNIZED SCHOOLS Since 1998, more than $1 million has been invested in Saint Peter Public Schools buildings and facilities. The district is accredited by North Central Association and recognized for its committed faculty, specialized programs, and supportive learning environment.

SPIRIT AND ACTIVITIES Saint Peter residents enjoy parks, an exceptional community center, library, sports facilities, and a multitude of educational and outdoor opportunities. Special events such as Old-Fashioned Fourth of July, Rock Bend Folk Festival, and the Nobel Conference at Gustavus Adolphus are anticipated and well attended each year.

NATURAL BEAUTY Saint Peter is set in the broad Minnesota River Valley, where forests line the hillsides and autumn colors are vivid. On the campus of Gustavus Adolphus, the 55-acre Linnaeus Arboretum is a haven for nature lovers.

HOSPITAL Saint Peter residents benefit from a new health care campus that includes Saint Peter Community Hospital, Benedictine Living Community of Saint Peter (a long-term care center), and soon a new ISJ-Mayo Health System Clinic. The Mankato Clinic and other medical services are nearby.
